Virtual Queue
The Virtual Queue system is in place for new and popular attractions at the Disney Theme Parks. When this system is being used, the traditional standby queue will not be available.
The following attractions are currently utilizing the Virtual Queue:
- Guardian's of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind - EPCOT®
- Tiana's Bayou Adventure - Magic Kingdom® Park
The Virtual Queue is free to use and all guests regardless of where they are staying are eligible to use it.
To join the Virtual Queue, you must have valid park admission, and if required, Theme Park reservations. Make sure you have the My Disney Experience app download on your phone, an account created, and tickets linked for all members of your party.
Any time before 7am, you must navigate to the Virtual Queue section of the My Disney Experience app and confirm your party for the attraction you would like to attempt to obtain a boarding group for. Once you have done this, you will wait until 7am for the Virtual Queue to open. It's important to keep the screen open on your phone because as soon as the clock hits 7, you will need to refresh the app by simply using your finger to pull down the screen and release, or tapping the "Refresh" button at the bottom. Tap on the "Join" button as soon as it appears. If you were successful, you will be assigned a boarding group number. Once the park opens for the day, an estimated callback time will appear in the Virtual Queue section of the app. You have one hour to return to the attractions Lightning Lane entrance once your boarding group is called.
If you were unsuccessful, don't worry, you can try again at 1pm using the same method. Make sure you have entered the Theme Park for the day in order to be eligible for the 1pm Virtual Queue. You cannot be assigned two boarding groups for the same attraction in a single day, so if you have already obtained one at 7am for one attraction, you are not eligible to obtain a second one at 1pm. You can however join the Virtual Queue for a different attraction at 1pm if you have already redeemed your first boarding group.
Deluxe Resort guests have an additional chance to join the Virtual Queue at 6:00pm on nights when Extended Evening Hours are offered at either Magic Kingdom or EPCOT. See park hours up to 70 days in advance for exact dates.
You also have the option of using the Lightning Lane for these attractions by purchasing a Lightning Lane Single Pass for TRON Lightcycle/Run and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, or selecting Tianas Bayou Adventure if you purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass.
