Lightning Lane Entry at Disneyland® Resort
What are Lightning Lanes?
Disney’s Genie+ service was introduced in December of 2021 to replace the discontinued Disney FASTPASS® service that was previously offered.
Purchasing the Genie+ service gives you the ability to book Lightning Lanes, which essentially let you skip the standby line. Nearly all attractions at the Disney Theme Parks have a Lightning Lane.
Genie+ can be purchased in advance with your park tickets/vacation package, or after you enter the Theme Park on the day of your visit (if available). The cost currently starts at $30 per person per day.
Once you have purchased Genie+ for the day, you may make your first Lightning Lane selection upon entering the Theme Park. Your next selection can be made after redeeming your current selection, or 2 hours after you made your last selection, whichever comes first. You can make Lightning Lane selections all day long until the park closes or availability runs out.
Purchasing Genie+ is highly recommended, but it is not mandatory and you may still utilize the standby queues at most attractions.
